With so many different social media platforms, it's hard to decide which one(s) you should actually join; should you have a profile on all, or just select a couple to focus on? Being an artist – trying to build an audience – this decision is even harder. Worse, when you decide to create a new profile you're daunted with questions like: What should I post on this site? What will make it relevant?
For this reason, I've decided to use each site a little differently.
On my Tumblr page, I'll share the things I read and watch online, i.e. articles, YouTube videos, etc.
Of course here is where you'll find my blog. Posts won't be scheduled, they'll come when ever I feel the 140 characters on Twitter aren't enough, or when the 1000 words – from an Instagram picture – still aren't enough.
That being said, on Instagram is where you'll find images posted regularly. I'll either be in front of the camera, behind it, or both (SELFIE...lol).
I recently joined Periscope and Snapchat — @PapiShank — so connect with me on those platforms if you'd like to see videos in realtime :-)
Facebook still seems to be the one-stop social medium — especially now that they're focusing even more on video. Because of this, you can find a little bit of everything on my official Facebook page.
I love to hear from my friends/fam/fans, and in this thumb driven society, I find Tweeting to be the most efficient way to do so — we'll practically be having a text message conversation :-) So tweet me @PapiShank and let's keep in touch.
Remember, you can always find my music, videos, photos, bio, and more, on my official site: www.PapiShank.com
So what social networks are you using, and how?
Musically yours,
P.S.
